Taree Boarding Kennels and Cattery is a small family operated business, offering personal care and attention to all kinds of pets. Over 70% of our bookings consist of repeat and local business.
The proprietors of Taree Boarding Kennels and Cattery are Meaghan and James and they celebrate 19 years of successful business here. They love what they do and could not think of anything else that they would rather be doing.
They cater for not only dogs and cats, but pockets pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs etc. and also birds including poultry.
Meaghan is an experienced Veterinary Nurse, having worked at large and small animal practices in Sydney for a number of years, working with vets such as Dr Harry Cooper and Dr Reiner Seubert. Meaghan also worked as a locum vet nurse in England in 1997 for six months, gaining valuable knowledge which has been of great benefit during the near two decades at this establishment.
They both have a love of animals and a love of cars, predominantly Minis. They have two children who have grown up with the business and have become invaluable in helping with the care of all guests. Their own menagerie consists of six dogs, 2 cats, 8 sheep, two pigs “Miss Piggy & Kermit”, cockatiels “Ernie & Bert”, free ranging chickens and pigeons. They also have three ex. rescue tabby cats that will happily greet you on arrival.
Long term boarders are especially welcome – we offer a varied diet, regular exercise and recognise the need for each animal to bond with their carer.
